
Email Setup Information
In your email client,
the following settings are used. Scroll down for examples of a
Microsoft Outlook setup:
POP3 Server:
mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP
Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Account/Login:
yourname@yourdomain.com
Password:
Check with your domain administrator who
set up your
email account if you need a password reset.
Outgoing (SMTP) Server Authentication:
SMTP Server
Authentication is required. Check appropriate settings in your mail
software and ensure it is turned on. Username and Password are the
same as your incoming email account.
NOTE: be sure to replace
"yourdomain.com" with your actual domain
name.

OUTLOOK USERS: First, go to
"Tools" then "Email Accounts" (some older versions require "Toos" then
"Options" then "Mail Setup" then "Email Accounts". You can add a new
account if you want to keep your existing accounts, or, you can change
your existing account to match the following settings if you no longer
want to use your existing account.
You will select POP3 type email account on the next screen:

EMAIL ACCOUNT SETTINGS: Be sure to
fill in all the fields as shown below. You will need to change the
default "user name" that outlook automatically fills in to be your full
email address. (Your user name here and on all email related screens
is your full email address.)
After filling in the fields here, click the "MORE SETTINGS"
button, then the "OUTGOING SERVER" tab to set up your outgoing mail server
settings.

OUTGOING SERVER: Click the checkbox next to "My outgoing
server (SMTP) requires authentication. Make sure the radio button
beside "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.
NOTE: Some Internet Service Providers BLOCK SMTP
traffic from entering their network. In this case, you will need to
fill in the "Log on using" fields and input your ISP's username and
password. This is somewhat uncommon, but known ISP's that prohibit
SMTP traffic are: Earthlink, Comcast, some AOL areas, and others.
